Fine Dining And Musical Theater

A Celebration 37 Years in the Making!
After providing Broadway-caliber entertainment for over 37 years, the Bollinger family has made the difficult decision to close our doors in Claremont on March 20, 2022.

Over the past year, we have encountered numerous obstacles that have ultimately culminated in this decision. Although navigating safety protocols of the pandemic proved challenging, nothing has been more challenging than having to cancel productions during the Holiday season and again in the New Year due to outbreaks. The safety of our employees and patrons has always been of the utmost importance to our family, and the past few weeks have solidified the notion that our ability to keep safe those we hold dear feels beyond our control. These considerations—coupled with a lack of customer parking resulting in reduced audience size, construction next to and behind the theater, and the increasing difficulty of maintaining an aging (80-year-old) building—helped us to make this very difficult decision.

We have devoted over half of our lives to making sure the community at large had access to first-rate, affordable musical theater. Although this is the end of the Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont, we pray it is not the end of musical theater for our family. We ask that you allow us time to regroup, explore new venues better-equipped to handle our unique business model, and let a bit of the dust settle from the ongoing pandemic we have endured together.

Please know that this decision was made with hearts full of gratitude, celebration, and of course, sadness. We have had the honor of welcoming thousands into our “Candlelight Home.”

It has been our greatest honor to serve and entertain you for the past 37 years.
COVID-19 Protocols
Candlelight Pavilion will be following the latest guidelines and requirements set forth by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health so you will always feel safe and protected.

The current public health order requires ALL people entering the building (regardless of vaccination status) to wear a mask any time they are not actively consuming food and/or beverages. Please remember to wear a mask when entering and exiting the building, any time you get up from your table to walk around or use the restroom, and throughout the performance.

Your cooperation will help to keep Candlelight Pavilion open for business and bringing you live theatre during this time. Thank you for doing your part to help keep our Candlelight Pavilion family safe.
Parking Information
Our parking lot will look a little different when you come back to see a show this season. The parking lots behind the theater are fenced off in preparation for the construction of condominiums, but there is a new Parking Structure located between our theater and the DoubleTree hotel. See the map below to get a better idea of our new parking situation.

The new Parking Structure has two levels. The entrance to the lower level is facing Foothill Blvd, and the entrance to the top level is on the street between the Parking Structure and Candlelight.

We ask that you please drive carefully through the construction areas, as the streets are more narrow and some of the corners have low visibility from oncoming traffic.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate these changes. We are continuing to monitor the situation, and hope that your feedback can help us to create a safer experience for our guests. Please reach out to Mick or Mindy with any feedback about parking lot safety.
